Hello ! Thought I would drop by and introduce myself. Also, with that being mentioned was hoping if I could get everyone else to introduce their selves. I have yet to attend a meeting, but I do plan on attending regularly especially if they are going to be held every Tuesday. Anyways ... about myself my name is Adam Leonard, I am 19 years old, and working Full-time. I currently work for KellyCo Metal Detectors, the largest Metal Detector distributor. I have been programming since I was 12, but I took a long break and really dumbed down when it came to technology etc. I have recently picked up programming again and now doing all the PHP work for KellyCo (very little which is seen on our actual website, which is also the ugliest website in the entire world). Languages I have had experience with are Perl, PHP, a little bit of actionscript, the mIRC language (does it really have a name?), some Python, and I am attempting to learn some Ruby.I am currently a contracted gamer. I play Counter-Strike: Source under a team named Guardians, which is basically a second job for me. I think it's one of the major things that has slowed my progress in learning PHP, but I hoping attending these meetings will make me want to learn only more. Anyways, hope to hear from everyone else and hope to see these forums get more active.

    Sincerely,

    Adam Leonard

Welcome Adam. My name is Jason. I also recently began attending these meetings (a few months ago). I am a Java developer at Disney with my own freelance/consulting web development business on the side. Most of my web development is done in PHP with MySQL databases usually with pretty heavy Javascript (lately anyway). I also have some experience with Perl, ActionScript, Lingo, Coldfusion, .NET, and have just recently decided to check out Ruby due to all the hype. I must say I do like the whole everything is an object approach that Ruby took.
You can take a look at my portfolio site if you'd like. It is definitely in need of a rewrite. It was one of the first sites I made about 4 years ago but you can still view some of my work from there. The current projects I am working on are TheWeddingVendor.com, which I developed myself from the ground up, and also a customer support chat application where site owners can communicate with their visitors in real time.
Anyway, welcome to the group and while I have missed the last two cup-o-code sessions I hope to be at the next.

    Jason

    Greetings everyone!

My name is Mike G. I’m the one in charge of organizing all of CFPHP’s meetings and have given the bulk of the presentations thus far. I’ve been a PHP programmer ever since the ending days of PHP 3. I pay my bills by working as a freelance PHP programmer but am also pretty good at anything JavaScript and ActionScript related.

I maintain Central Florida PHP, my personal blog Love Mike G, and am in the process of starting an open source project Panda PHP Components. I also made Planet JavaScript a little while back, but that doesn’t count since the site updates itself ;)

Consider me the main go-to guy for CFPHP. If there’s anything you need, any questions you have, or anything else get in touch with me and I’ll make it happen.

    Cheers,
    Mike G.

I really enjoyed the meeting last night and I cannot wait till the next one. Being able to share ideas, share knowledge, and just have fun talks was quite an enjoying experience for me. I hope in some form we can become more active even it involves more people posting on the forums. If any of you make use of the IRC, let me know what network you are on and the channels you reside in. If not we should create a channel on a network (the one I use is gamesurge) and get as many Orlando programmers involved.

Looks like the forum has died already…how sad.

Well, this post hasn’t been updated in a while… Surprise, surprise. I’m gonna try to contact these two new “faces” through the contact info on their account pages. Hopefully it’s complete and accurate. >_<

James, Adam, if you’re still out there, there are a few of us still meeting at the coffee shop; see the Cup O Code Meetings thread for more on that. I’ll try to keep a running commentary on the happenings, few of them that there are. O_o

If you want a winter wedding, there a few things that you going to need to account for. <a

With the right planning, winter weddings can be just as beautiful as spring weddings. <a

In my opinion, they can be more so.<a href=“http://www.vponsale.com/bridesmaid-dresses/”>bridesmaid

Your wedding could be a winter wonderland or if you are not careful, a winter wasteland.
