I thought I'd post this and see if produced any results for myself. Basically I am looking for some sort of internship. I want to learn more, but I am having trouble attempting to learn just reading books and not really having too many projects for myself. I sometimes tend to get bored easily when attempting to learn by myself, so I figured with attempting to intern under someone I can bug the crap out of them, learn as much as possible, and possibly help you out at the same time.
I am 19 and located near UCF, so if you think you could put up with me (it's not really that hard I promise) then let me know. I'd rather not have to travel too far and if you know a job I could intern at that'd be just as swell. :D Thanks
I may have some work coming up. Do you have any experience with PHP5 and OOP? We also use aMySql database but data access has been abstracted through PHP objects. You will also need to have a general understanding of MVC. We are currently using the Smarty template system so any experience with that is a deffinite plus.
I am stilling learning PHP and OOP. Yes I do have experience using it though. Also, MySQL is something I am pretty familiar with. I understand MVC, but I have not used it other than in cakephp. I have never used the Smarty template system, but I am sure I can easily take some documentation and start to learn it !
