Just a shout-out to remind everyone about the Cup-O-Code meetings at the Cup-O-Soul coffee house. We are having a great turnout each week and hope we can keep it going throughout 2008. The importance of this group goes way beyond just talking about PHP. It is a way to gather thoughts about projects, troubleshoot a problem, get insight from other developers, and just talk about the general progress of technologies being used. The environment is comfortable and laid back and the people are very friendly. Come on over to Cup-O-Soul, every Tuesday at 7:00pm. We look forward to meeting/seeing you there!

I will definitely be there. This is a great way to meet new people and network with others that are in the same field. If you are even just thinking about getting into the field or learning PHP then come on out.

Had some things come up and couldn't make it. How was the turnout this week?
  2.

There were four of us that showed up this week. We have the room reserved again for next week. Hopefully we can get a good turnout.

  3.

There was a whole 1 person (me) at the last cup o’ code meeting. It looks like we are slowly dying off.

  4.

Just wondering if anyone is planning on going tomorrow….

  5.

    and now it is dead.

Hey guys! It's Kat (mikeg's girl) here, just getting in touch all the way from Brooklyn. Hope the group is holding on strong and doing good. I don't like the last three post that were posted here just a few days ago. I hope the group is not dying off or dead. It can't be! How can that be possible? You guys have to stick together and pull strong.

Well, I hope all is well. Keep us (mike and I) posted on things.

    Hey, all.

And by “all” I mean Pat and Jason. :(

Last week’s meet was small but informative. Ryan Price of FL Creatives showed, and Pat popped in and out once Ryan showed off the latest edition of Tech Review. Must’ve been something in there he liked. ;)

Well, Ryan and I had a great time chatting and making connections, and I look forward to a similar experience this week. Of course it’d be great if we had some more folks; I’m gonna troll the forums a bit and look for active posts and posters.

I’ve met some other folks this week in the PHP community, who are looking for a place to meet, too. The Meetup.com PHP group is pretty dead, too, mostly due to the lack of participation of its organizer… Familiar story, eh? :/

Hopefully Cup o Code can survive the loss of MikeG et al. We three aren’t about to let it expire, at least…! :D

    Helloooooo...

Been a little while. Sorry I haven't been able to make the past couple months of meetings. I took a job with Your Marketing Corner in Sanford, FL and have been busy helping them get settled in. I am hoping things settle down enough to make it out to the coffee shop and talk geek with everyone. Hope all is well!

    Hi all,

I’m going to try to get off my lazy bum and make it out next Tues night. I was wondering, what all do you usually talk about and for how long? I’d like to try to get my head wrapped around OOP and all its glory.

I feel like I’ve hit a wall in my PHP-programming progression, especially since I have nobody to collaborate with at my job. Tis frustrating.

    Cheers!
    Clint

We pretty much just talk about whatever comes up. It is very informal. So if you have any particular questions I am sure everyone would be willing to help you with them.

Looks like CFPHP.org has died and out of the ashes has come OrlandoPHP.org

It is sad to see it go but I guess it is hard to keep something alive when the "organizer/leader" doesn't organize or lead and won't relinquish the site. Oh well! It looks like it is for the better anyway.

With the right planning, winter weddings can be just as beautiful as spring weddings. <a

In my opinion, they can be more so.<a href=“http://www.vponsale.com/bridesmaid-dresses/”>bridesmaid
